Double PRGN award win

Last week we blogged about how interesting and instructive it was to run the rule over the many PR projects submitted by our fellow PRGN member agencies as part of the Best Practice Awards 2015.

Well, it seems the feeling was mutual as Cullen Communications went on to win two Gold awards in this year’s Public Relations Global Network (PRGN) showpiece awards event, which took place in Dubai last weekend.

We were awarded the top prize in both the Crisis Communications and Internal Communications categories, the former for our work in transforming the Continental Tyres Irish Car of the Year Awards and the latter for our handling of a key corporate announcement on behalf of Ford Ireland.

Incidentally, our double Gold-winning performance was a repeat of two years ago when we scooped top honours in both the B2B and Corporate Communications categories.

We’re delighted, naturally. An award is great to win at the best of times, but having judged the work of our peers in this year’s programme we’re only too aware of the exceptionally high standard we were up against.

It’s also worth noting that we were competing with agencies from right around the world; PRGN currently has more than 50 member agencies spread right across the globe – some of the most respected and creative PR firms in their markets – so to come out with two Gold awards is something we’re really proud of.

Our Managing Director, Owen Cullen, was at the latest PRGN gathering in Dubai – the awards ceremony was just one aspect of a busy working session  held over two days – and he accepted our two trophies on behalf of the team.
