Agency provides PR push for Row A-Round Ireland bid
Cullen Communications is delighted to have thrown our support behind an excellent new CSR initiative that will see a crew of 20 amateur rowers attempting to circumnavigate the island of Ireland to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland (CFI).
‘Row A-Round Ireland’ is the brainchild of Wicklow-based maritime enthusiast Ger Crowley, whose team of 20 hardy rowers will set off from Bray later this month on a round trip of some 1000 nautical miles. The crew will row in relays, stopping off at 50 designated points around the Irish coast, raising awareness – and funds – for a very worthy cause.
Ireland has the highest incidence of Cystic Fybrosis in the developed world, with around 1 in 1600 births here affected by the fatal genetic disease.
We’ve agreed to help promote the Row A-Round Ireland cause as the team makes its way around the island, contending with tricky tides, the notorious Irish weather as well as some of the most treacherous bodies of water in this part of the world including Donegal Bay, which comprises some 30 miles of the open Atlantic Ocean.
“It’s going to be tough alright, some very challenging stretches of water to be navigated with unpredictable weather at all times
