Newspapers were one of the many casualties of the recession, with ad revenues and circulation both declining from 2008 onwards. Nonetheless, Ireland’s rate of newspaper readership remained as strong as ever, with more than 80% of the adult population still regularly reading a paid-for daily or Sunday title. To remind the world (and especially the ad community) that newspapers were far from dead, we created a video for our client NNI, fronted by Brendan O’Connor, that posed a simple question.
