In the world of sport, content is king. Part of being a supporter is the urge to share: video, blog content, social posts, GIFs, anything that helps to nail your colours to the flag.

Tapping into that sharing culture was a key objective for our client Continental Tyres, as the brand approached the end of year two of its sponsorship of the Women’s National League. At that stage, the renowned Wexford Youths Women’s FC was on the verge of an historic cup treble; their story was one of humble origins, relentless hard work, a rocky and rousing underdog’s climb towards glory. We decided to tell that story in the form of a video documentary, developing a short but hugely colourful piece of content for sharing across social channels to strengthen the links between Continental and the WNL.

65,000+ views later, the video perfectly captures the struggle of a women’s football team for success on the pitch – and support off it.
