Cullen Communications Wins 3 Golds at International PRGN Best Practice Awards 2024

Current PRCA Agency of the Year recognised on global stage for excellence in consumer PR, content marketing and SEO, and agency promotion.

A good year just got better!

Cullen Communications was the big winner at this year’s Public Relations Global Network (PRGN) Best Practice Awards, collecting three Golds, two Silvers and a Bronze at the recent gathering of the international PRGN network in Geneva. It is our best ever result at the PRGN awards.

Our excellent showing at the PRGN Best Practice Awards continues a winning streak that saw Cullen Communications named PR Agency of the Year 2024 at the annual PRCA Awards for Excellence earlier this year.

Daikin, Dare 2B campaigns win Gold

At the PRGN awards, our first win of the evening came in the Content Marketing and SEO category, where our work on behalf of heat pump specialist Daikin Ireland was awarded Gold. We have been working with Daikin since early 2023.

Our second Gold award was in the Product or Service launch category, where our experiential, event-driven launch of Dare 2B’s new mountain sportswear range came out on top of a highly competitive category.

We made it a hat trick of Golds in the Agency Promotion category for a year-long campaign of marketing on behalf of Cullen Communications – treating ourselves as a client, effectively – that delivered substantial increases in website traffic, inquiries, fee income and other business metrics.

Other awards on the night included a Silver for our Irish launch of the global CEWE Photo Award 2025 (Product/Service launch), another Silver for our launch of ConnectGreen’s new AI-driven carbon credit marketplace (Product/Service launch), and a Bronze in the Thought Leadership category for positioning Continental Tyre’s Tom Dennigan as an industry expert.

“It’s been a memorable 12 months for us, first being named PRCA Agency of the Year on the back of becoming one of Ireland’s first B Corps, and now having our client work recognised on the global stage by our PRGN colleagues from around the world,” said Owen Cullen, Managing Director of Cullen Communications, who attended the awards ceremony in Switzerland along with Associate Director, Aoife McDonald.

“We have invested both in our talent and our service offering over the past year, expanding our capabilities in digital solutions and influencer marketing, and these awards are a tribute to the hard work and expertise of the entire agency team,” Owen added.

“Next year, we celebrate 40 years in business which is a wonderful milestone, and we hope to enjoy another successful year of growth, storytelling and delivering great work on behalf of our clients,” he said.

Founded in 1992, PRGN is an international network with 52 agency members and approximately 1,000 PR professionals in 34 countries across all major markets. Member agencies are independent, local, owner-operated PR and marketing communications firms that share expertise and resources.
